...Anyway

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It never was between you and them anyway.

Mother Theresa reportedly kept this on her wall:

Menu Plan Monday -- 30 March 2009

I can't believe its already almost April! The time has literally flown by.
We didn't do so well last week -- alot of meals just never happened ... but every day is a new beginning so here we go again ...
Sunday -- Crockpot Roast, Cheesy Ranch Potatoes and Green Beans
Monday -- Leftovers from Sunday. (probably put the meat in tortillas)
Tuesday -- Breakfast for Dinner (I've been craving Pancakes) Fruit Smoothies
Thursday -- Grilled Teriyaki Chicken, Rice and Veggies
Friday -- Pasta and Meatballs. (Josh has his wisdom teeth removed ... thinking soft?)
We have quite a bit of frozen veggies from the Dillon's sales a few months back, as well as frozen meatballs. The meatballs are NOT my favorite but the boys like 'em. I'll put the frozen meatballs in the crockpot in the morning with a can of tomato sauce and let them cook.
Any idea how to make them less salty?
Spinach in smoothies is actually really yummy -- you can't really tell its in there. Give it a shot!

Red Envelope Day [Make A Statement for Life]

I am passing it along because I feel this is definitely worth doing. James Dobson shared about this in his Citizen Link website earlier this month.You can read more about the red envelope project here.

Get a red envelope. You can buy them at Kinkos, or at party supply stores.

On the front, address it to:

President Barack Obama
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW
Washington D.C. 20500

On the back, write the following message:

This envelope represents one child who died because of an abortion.
It is empty because the life that was taken is now unable to be a part of our world.

Mail the envelope out March 31st, 2009.

I wish we could send millions of red envelopes, one for every child who died before having a chance to live.

"It may seem that those who believe abortion is wrong are in a minority. It may seem like we have no voice and it's shameful to even bring it up. Let us show our President and the world that the voices of those of us who believe abortion is wrong, are not silent and must be heard.

Barack Obama spoke at a Planned Parenthood Action Fund event, uttering the now infamous line, "Well, the first thing I'd do as president is, is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. [Applause.] That's the first thing that I'd do."

An empty red envelope will send a message to President Barack Obama that there is moral outrage in this country over this issue [The Freedom of Choice Act, which will essentially "undo" every law currently in place to limit abortion in the U.S. . (i.e., parental consent laws, parental notification, waiting periods, prohibition of transporting a minor girl across state lines to obtain an abortion, etc.)]. It is a quiet, but clear message of protest. "

March 7, 2009

Another week --and it will be a busy one -- we have 1 week left to prepare for a huge Sunday School event!

Space Adventures 2009!! Pray for an abundance of visitors which is our ultimate goal!

Most afternoons and evenings will probably be spent at the church -- so I am going to try to prepare a bunch of crock pot meals or meals made ahead. We shall see how that goes! I also have over 100 cookies to bake and decorate. Crystal ??? I seriously need help but ... where there is a will there is a way!!

Sunday -- if the budget cooperates -- its Chinese Food. Subway if not.

Monday -- Chicken Wings With Honey BBQ Sauce, Brown Rice and Veggies (brown meat)

Tuesday -- Sloppy Joes, Oven Fries, Veggies (put together soup in crockpot - night before )

Wednesday -- Italian Veggie Pasta Soup, Crusty Italian Bread (take out chicken)

Thursday -- Chicken Bacon Ranch Wraps, Rice and Corn

Friday -- Homemade Pizza (here's hoping -- I'm craving it with bacon!) Taco Salad if not.

Saturday -- OYO! Final prep for Space Adv / Pizza or Taco Salad.

I've been taking my hub's laptop in the kitchen and using my menu from here to keep me on track and get the recipes.

Menu Plan Monday ... 1 March 09
Here's hoping to a healthy week for everyone! Poor Squirt has strep throat and had to undergo a total flushing of her ears! Ugh! These kiddos are much more braver than I am when it comes to medical stuff. I work an evening shift this week and a baby shower on Saturday -- where I am to bring the cake! Suggestions??

Crystal -- I wish you lived here because I would bring you with me to the classes. I am trying to get my husband to join me ... need a partner.

Sunday --Mom sick -- dad made canned pasta for the boys.

Monday-- Pasta with Homemade Sauce, Salad (sauce already made ...) (Yes, pasta twice, but..we have Italian blood, so we'll be fine ... or they will) Lots of errands after work hours.

Tuesday -- Tex Mex Chicken and Beans

Wednesday -- Lipton Chicken Noodle Soup and Pigs in a Blanket

Thursday -- Pepperoni Rolls and Salad/Veggies

Friday -- Mom works -- dad is the cook. (although family can come...and eat for free)
Grilled Ham & Cheese/Chips

Saturday -- Baby Shower --- boys meal TBD -- Beef Soft Tacos ... probably

I've come across some links and want to make these for the freezer -- they look easy enough. I'll probably change the ingredients a bit and make my own beans. I could definitely make my own tortillas but I think the size will be an issue.
