Remember

Today should not be the only day we remember loved ones, Soldiers, but especially those who lost their lives in order that we might keep our freedom.

We visited the cemetery yesterday. Passed the Veteran's National Cemetery where United States Flags blew in the breeze lining the roadways, and every grave was marked with a small US flag. Every veteran was remembered.

Maybe because I am a Veteran -- but it touches my heart and makes me proud. I do not regret my earlier decision in life to join the military and give a small portion of my life to the service of my country. I'm so glad I did!

Thank a Soldier today ... thank a Veteran today and thank their families.

Freedom has never been free.

Welcome to my small portion of the world!
Welcome to my blog!

I have been reading quite a few blogs the last couple of months and decided to start my own. I'm not sure how many will read it, but it will be fun to me to do anyway!

A few litte facts about myself ... I am married to Roy and we have 3 children .. I should say teenagers! Totally different breed! lol!
... our soon to be 19 year old daughter, Sarai. Home from college for the summer and adjusting
... our soon to be 16 year old son, Josh. Headed to be a junior in high school in the fall
... our youngest son, Stephen, who is 14 years old.

We live in a small northeast Kansas rural town ... Tonganoxie (say that 5 times fast!) in an older farmhouse on 4.8 acres with a few 4 legged kids.
2 horses ... Rowdy and Mysti
1 dog ... AS/BC Mix -- Chipper
2 goats ... Cowboy and Sam (about 9 weeks old) Cute, cute and funny!

Going to post this and see how it goes and will go from there ...
